Lempuyangan is one of railway station in Yogyakarta. Lempuyangan station only serve economy class passenger. Almost every morning you can find a crowded in that station. Because that is time people usually go to work, and some trains shedule is morning.

Gadjah Mada Job Fair 2009

Jogja is one of students city in Indonesia beside Bandung and Jakarta. Some people said Yogyakarta is Indonesia miniatur. Because you can find student from Sabang (Aceh) to Merauke (West Papua), so many kind student's ethnic group you can found.

But one big problem is how to find a good job for fresh graduate student. The job fair is one right answer to help fresh graduate to find a new job. Every job fair helded always many fresh graduate visit it. Might be with this post can describe how many people need a job in Yogyakarta.

Registering Senior High School

2 - 5 July is time for new students register at senior high school after they finished their study in junior high school in Yogyakarta. Since few years ago, the Yogyakarta's goverment has used online senior high school register system. With the new system, new students can choose 3 different scholls in Yogyakarta Province. The benefit of this system are:

• student doesn't has to register to each school anymore, but they only registered in one place,
• students can know they accepted or not with SMS or internet, and
• decreasing queing student at one school.

Angkringan, an Unique from Yogyakarta

Angkringan, is one of favorite food place for college student in Yogyakarta. Why?? Only one answer, cheap. Yeah... With IDR 2.000 (20 cents) you can eat. One thing a special from angkringan is the cooked rice. It called "nasi kucing (in english = cat cooked rice)".

Why it called "nasi kucing"? Because the size of cooked rice is like for cat food or the large like your clutch hand. There are 2 kind of "nasi kucing", they are "nasi kucing" with tiny sea fish spieces and "nasi kucing" with stir fried of fermented soybean cake.

But, its doesn't "nasi kucing" only you can find there. There are common foods and drinks you can find in Angkringan:



Any kind of "sate (in english = small pieces of meat roasted on skewer)" with the pieces like (about IDR 1.000/pcs or 10 cent/pcs):

• shrimp.
• shells.
• quail eggs.
• chicken's intestines.
• chicken's gizzard and chicken's liver.
• snail.

Any kind of fried snack like (about IDR 500/pcs or 5 cent/pcs):

• fried fermented soybean cake,
• corn friter,
• fried soybean curd
• fried banana,

Drinks, like (about IDR 1000 - 2500/glass or 15 - 25 cent/glass):

• Tea,
• coffee,
• milk,
• ginger,
• ginger milk.
